    Hello! I am using the linux 64-bit client on Slackware Linux Current OS Distro. After downloading the ultranet binary, making it executable, and running it, the marketplace opens up, but I received an error when attempting to create a user account.

    I was able to select a username, and was able to generate and enter my seed phase. But after I tried to submit my password, I received an error.

    Here is the debugging output:

    Debug output: {“headers”:{“normalizedNames”:{},”lazyUpdate”:null,”headers”:{}},”status”:0,”statusText”:”Unknown Error”,”url”:”http://localhost:17001/create-user?shared_secret=41a0c2879f22a9a28dd2f5e0901154dfcc412d6570cceb8f0ccb118bec8be6a6″,”ok”:false,”name”:”HttpErrorResponse”,”message”:”Http failure response for http://localhost:17001/create-user?shared_secret=41a0c2879f22a9a28dd2f5e0901154dfcc412d6570cceb8f0ccb118bec8be6a6: 0 Unknown Error”,”error”:{“isTrusted”:true}}

    I am at a loss as to how to proceed.

    Thank you very much for your time.

    Thanks for reporting this. Could you do me a favor and run the software in a different browser (preferably Chrome)? You can just copy the link from the browser window that opens into Chrome and try to create an account again. Let me know what happens when you do that.

    If you still see the error, then I will need a little more information. In your browser after you’ve produced the error once, could you do the following:

    • Right-click somewhere on the browser page and click “Inspect.” A window should open showing a bunch of diagnostic information.
    • Click on the “Console” tab. A bunch of messages should show. Right-click one of them and click “Save As”. Then save the file somewhere. Email that file to me at sarahc0nn0r@ultranet.one. There shouldn’t be any sensitive information in the output but it doesn’t hurt to be safe (the shared_secret parameter isn’t sensitive unless someone can connect to your machine from the outside world, which I assume isn’t the case for you).
    • Open the “Network” tab and tell me if you see any requests failing (they’ll be in red). If you do, click on them and tell me what you see in the “Preview” tab that opens up.

    Hopefully I can make a guess at what’s going wrong once I have that information.

    Thank you for the information, Sarah. I was able to confirm that it was a Firefox specific issue, and have sent you the relevant information.
